Romanization

Romanization helps a non-Hindi / non-Sanskrit reader, to read that text easily.

Hindi / Sanskrit is Romanized through English for ease of such readers.

A better way to understand Romanization is by an example as below.

A non-Hindi / non-Sanskrit reader may find difficulty reading:

जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुण सागर,
जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर.

​

The same text when Romanized is read as:

​

jaya hanumaana gyaana guna saagara,
jaya kapeesa tihun loka ujaagara.

​

A reader has now, easily read the Hindi/Sanskrit text.
